PRESENTER Dan Walker’s BBC Breakfast replacement will earn more than £100,000 a year for a three-day week.

A job ad posted online revealed the successful applicant would be in the Beeb’s bespoke FP pay band — which is for “its most senior 100 to 150 on-air presenters”.

The ad says the working pattern is usually Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and based at Media City, Salford.

And the 26.25 hours a week include travel time for location work where necessary.

In the job ad posted to replace Dan, the BBC stated they were “seeking a Chief presenter to work with Sally Nugent, Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt on the UK’s most watched morning show.”

Applicants should be “authoritative and experienced” as well as “warm and entertaining”.

The bespoke pay packet would see the person replacing Dan immediately on a six day salary for working part time.

Dan, 45, who is leaving the BBC for a job at Channel 5 news, earns almost £300,000 a year.

It comes as the Beeb released their register of external events – showing how much their talent made for their work outside of the broadcaster in the first quarter of this year.

His Breakfast co-star Naga, 47, made between £5,000 and £10,000 for hosting an awards ceremony for the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association this year.
