BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood and Sally Nugent snapped “Are you awake?!” after TWO Dan Walker blunders.
Today’s show saw Dan, 44, admit he had stayed up late to watch live sport last night, despite his early start for work.
As Carol, 59, presented her weather report from outside rather than in the BBC studio Dan introduced it by saying: “Now Carol is out and about this morning, and she’s in a much greener Trafalgar scare- Square, even. It’s only quarter past six!”
Carol and Dan’s co-host Sally Nugent both picked up on the slip up, with Sally saying: “It’s definitely not a Trafalgar scare! Morning Carol, it looks gorgeous there.”
Carol, who wore a thick black coat as she stood among some greenery replied: “It is – and Dan, put your teeth back in!”
She then explained more about why she was on location, saying: “But this morning it is lovely in Trafalgar Square, which for one day only has been transformed into a wild meadow as part of a campaign to reconnect us with nature.

“As you can see, we’ve got ferns, we’ve got foliage, we’ve got plants – these guys have been setting this up since 8pm last night!”
Once Carol had finished, the camera returned to the studio and Sally said: “It is gorgeous Carol – see you in a bit!”
Dan started to move on to the next item saying: “”It’s nice there this morning isn’t it… now let’s bring you…”

But Sally hadn’t finished and shooting him a look she said: “For one day only.”
Realising he had made another mistake, Dan said: “Oh yes, sorry!”
Sally teased: “Go on, are you awake now? Are you with us? Good.”
Her sheepish co-host replied: “Yes I’ve had a slurp of tea, I’m ready to go!”
